DUSK
Dusk is the first film I ever made. Made in 2023 for a university assessment, Dusk is a two and a half minute short film following a man struggling through a monotonous, bleak existence. He is motivated by a personal quest to seek the outdoors and find sanctuary before its too late.
The production process provided many challenges to overcome, particularly due to locations. Filming outdoors is never easy, and this project in particular taught me the effort and preparation you need to put in to ensure a successful shoot out in the elements.
For my first film, I am incredibly proud of how Dusk turned out. This was just the start of an amazing series of productions I worked on with this crew, and I will always remember this as where it all began. Also shout out to my mate Bailey Carter, for someone who doesn’t consider himself to be an actor, he absolutely smashed it as the lead and was a pleasure to work with.
