Hey, I’m Billy.

I’m a photographer and cinematographer, but I like to consider myself an all round creative. I also have experience in script writing, editing, directing, and sound recording.

I’ve been obsessed with cameras ever since I was gifted a Canon 7D back in 2017, taking photos for fun often in nature and at lookouts. I live in the Blue Mountains and have a strong connection to the bush, allowing me access to some of the most scenic landscapes in the world.

As you can probably tell from my portfolio, I have a strong affinity for the night sky. I love astrophotography, I am deeply passionate about the preservation of dark skies and its signifance in our world.

In recent years I have switched focus from just stills to a combination of photo and video.

This video focus has mostly come from my degree - as I’m majoring in Screen Media at Western Sydney University as part of my double bachelor’s degree in Communications and Creative Industries. This has taught me countless lessons through both practical experience, and the insightful tutelage from industry professionals such as Vincent Tay.
